A flat surface is necessary to fix these units else the vibration caused by these elements can apparently break copper pipes, leak the coolant or lead to compressor/ condenser damage. ·         The distance between outdoor and indoor unit- The maximum distance between these units should be 15 meters to prevent the loss of cooling effect from copper tubes.
